A video is trending on the internet, showing a federal National Guard helicopter crash near the Mexico-US border.
As the helicopter crashed, multiple law enforcement along with other emergency agencies reached the spot to check how the chopper went down near the Mexico border in Texas.
A video has been posted on social media showing cartel members using a drone to watch the crashed National Guard helicopter.
National Guard Helicopter Crash Video dominates the internet
The viral clip of the National Guard helicopter crash has been shared by many prominent US journalists showing cartel members chit-chatting and laughing while seeing the crash.
The clip has been shot through multiple angles.
According to NY Post, 2 soldiers and 1 Border Patrol agent have lost their lives.
Joint Task Force North released a statement on Facebook stating-
“A UH-72 Lakota helicopter assigned to the federal Southwest border support mission crashed at approximately 2:50 p.m. MST today while conducting aviation operations near Rio Grand City, Texas.”
They further added-
“Two soldiers and one US Border Patrol agent are killed. One soldier was injured. The names of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin have been notified.”
Starr County Judge Eloy Vera stated to the Border Report that a helicopter crashed in the rural area. Vera added-
“It did go down. It was a clean field so we don’t know what could have caused it. But it’s under investigation.”
The rural town where the crash took place is revealed to be La Grulla. It is a small town with a very small population density.
Additionally, it is quite close to the Mexican-US border.
According to a post by Starr County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook they are assisting with a “downed helicopter incident” on the east side of the county.
